Milestones.

This is for my own personal reference (as well as for my friends and family who like to keep up with this sorta thing).

Anna's Age: 6 months, 3 weeks, 4 days

Things Anna can do:
  • Flip from stomach to back
  • Flip from back to stomach
  • Stand for a few minutes with assistance
  • Stand without assistance if leaning on something for support
  • Move legs in an attempt to begin crawling (not quite there yet)
  • Hold her bottle on her own, she will drop it and then pick it back up again
  • Hold items - like teethers and toys - with both hands. She can hold a teething toy to her mouth and chew on it for minutes at a time. If she drops it, she will pick it back up.

  • During tummy time, she will attempt to crawl to an item that is placed in front of her.
  • She can put her feet into her mouth.
  • She tries to sit up on her own and will lift her head up in a sit-up like position.
  • If you hold your hands out, she will grab onto them and pull herself up with little to no effort on your part - she does most of the work.
  • She knows her name and will turn in your direction when you call her name or speak to her.
  • She follows you with her head/eyes when you enter and leave a room.
  • She hasn't started saying words yet, but she does babble, growl, gurgle, inhale and squeak quite a bit.
  • She is sitting up on her own.
  • She smiles at herself in the mirror.
  • She likes to grab onto anything and everything.
  • She loves jewlery, watches, cell phones, anything that sparkles or makes a noise.
  • She can ride in a shopping cart and sit in a high chair now.
  • She will sleep most of the night in her Pack-N-Play in our room. She wakes up around 3'ish and will fuss until we bring her into our bed. I need to break her of this bad habit as we slowly transition her into her room/crib.
  • She's eating between 24 - 36 oz./day and eating solids for breakfast and lunch.
  • Solids she has eaten - sweet potatoes, bananas, pears, peaches, peas, green beans, prunes.
  • Favorite solids: Sweet potatoes, green beans, peas
  • Least favorite solids: bananas, peaches
  • I love her.

Love the blog, Natalie! I am guilty of the same stupid move... I let my little girl gnaw on my cell phone during these teething bouts but usually catch her before she causes too much destruction. With my luck, she'll eat my phone just like Anna did yours.
